Being self-employed with a staff of one can mean that each new year starts with a touch of anxiety. Like all sales jobs you're only as good as your last month or year. A freelance photographer can consider theirselves a salesperson. 2017 turned out well but the hope is always that 2018 will be better: better numbers, better experiences, new clients, fun with 'old' clients and maybe a holiday somewhere in amongst it all.

For me, a good working life means earning well to support my family first, having variation and enjoyment in my work second, and just mabe the promise of something new, unexpected and challenging to come along and surprise me, like a change of direction or focus in my photography. Let's see what the year brings. If you do want to hire an experienced, trustworthy and *ahem* talented photographer, located in Hertfordshire but always willing to travel, then maybe my style will suit your style and you should get in touch?
